1.      Follow your passion, your hearts desire.

2.      Be creative.

3.      You MUST have a fantastic supervisor, one who is ethically, legally and clinically sound.  Remember you are the customer, if the supervisor isn’t delivering to you what you need, want or desire, change supervisors.  Feel free to reach out to me to see if you are a fit for our awesome team of interns.  Learn more about what we do by CLICKING HERE BUT if you are interested in more information email me at Katie@FamilyAndCouplesCounseling.com.

4.      Be a sponge - continue to develop yourself through learning, reading, talking with others, watching videos (the internet makes almost all knowledge attainable instantaneously so use it to your advantage), attending seminars and trainings.

5.      If you are interested in being a business owner it is never to early to start learning to be business savvy, having great business acumen is essential to success.  Start learning business skills now.

6.      Have a great support system both personally and professionally.

7.      Practice balance or harmony – put yourself first.  I have a rule, if you are feeling less than 75% then ask yourself what you need and do it!

8.      Don’t settle.

9.      Maintain your dreams and connect with people who can support you in achieving them.

10.   Have goals and share them with others who support your vision.

11.   Get connected, every person you meet is a potential referral source, connection, or could possibly help you in the future in some way.

12.   Keep it clean, clean up your social media and online presence.  Be cautious of what you put out there because you never know what can come back to bite you.

13.    Preserver.

14.    Hang out with people who are smarter and more successful than you.  They have a lot to offer, and you have a lot to learn.
